Gillian is truly a rare and amazing creature. This Class of 2020 senior truly has more skills than I can list. She’s a gifted artist, and incredible singer and performer with the School of Rock, as well as with her own band. She’s a fabulous writer, an exceptional makeup artist. And I’m proud to say she’s an incredible ambassador for my own model squad.

I know a little more about Gillian as well, since she’s been a good friend of my daughter’s for some time. So we’ve had a number of opportunities to shoot together. When the time came to plan her senior session, we both decided to get truly creative. Which is what brought us to the stuck-in-time laundromat in Portland, called Clean-o-Rama. The owners there were kind enough to allow us access, and to shoot in their vintage setting. We had a seriously great time playing in such a different setting, followed by our quick jaunt up to a few iconic Portland spots including Stumptown Coffee, Powell’s Books and finally Pittock Mansion to get a few more slightly traditional – and a few mind-bending shots – for variety.

I adore you, Gillian – and thank you for allowing my vision to combine with your brilliant creativity!
